Abstract: Varicose veins, according to Ayurveda, Varicose Veins can be correlated to a condition called "Siraja Grandhi" swollen, twisted veins that lie just under the skin and usually occur in the legs. Overview. Varicose veins are a common condition caused by weak or damaged vein walls and valves. Varicose veins may form whenever blood pressure increases inside your veins. Varicose veins are generally benign. The cause of this condition is not known. For many people, there are no symptoms and varicose veins are simply a cosmetic concern. In some cases, they cause aching pain and discomfort or signal an underlying circulatory problem. Treatment involves compression stockings, exercise, or procedures to close or remove the veins. Varicose veins can happen any where it can be found in legs, testes, esophagus, stomach, liver in rectum too. We will discuss about ayurvedic management of varicose veins.
