Abstract: Majority of skin diseases with whom we have deal with in day to day practice are mentioned in Ayurveda with a single term 'kushta'. Various types of skin diseases are covered under this umbrella term . Ayurveda classics have mentioned very baseline and comprehensive treatment modalities for it which erradicates the root cause and prevents it's recurrence as well. This presentation gives a retrospective summary of all those basic principles of treatment of Kushtha, which certainly will provide belief and optimism to the global Ayurveda practitioners and academicians.
