Ayurvedic management of Herpes Zoster

Abstract:  initial stage with pain, itching, burning sensation and fever. Later small bullae or crust formation is seen. Post herpetic neuralgia is a common complication in this disease. Ayurveda drugs have better role in the management of this disease. Pravala panchamrita rasa, Mukta panchamrita rasa, Sarivadyasava , Chandanasava and Godanti bhasma are effective on this disease. Pathyapathya or ayurveda diet plays important role in the management of this disease. In this paper, role of Ayurveda in the management of Herpes zoster is discussed scientifically .
