Professor Dr. Mrs. Anjali Vijay Jadhav, B.A.M.S, D.G.O, M.S. Professor & H.O.D. Department of Stree Rog Prasuti Tantra, College of Ayurved & Research Center, Pune, India has been practicing and teaching ayurveda for 20 years in the academic field and serves as Secretary of Tathagat Ayurved Research Foundation. She is the Organizing Secretary for four international conferences. Her overseas experience includes working in Rudlingsdorf Sagasfeld Wellness Centre for Women in Germany and serving as Director – Satya Sudha Ayurved & Panchakarma Center, Pune, India.
There are monthly regimes to be followed by pregnant women. Today, women are having children later in life, so the risks associated with pregnancy and delivery are also increasing. Women should follow a strict special dietary regimen; it is not so complicated and is very easy. There are dietary restrictions in order to avoid complications. When healthy, easy to cook foods are regularly consumed during pregnancy, the fetus attains good growth and Vayu moves in the right direction. A woman then becomes strong and births her child without complications. Benefits of a proper dietary regimen include promoting normal development of the fetus and health and vitality for the mother throughout her pregnancy.
