Old age often leads to fatigue, although it shouldn’t have to. We’ll go through the causes of elderly fatigue, as well as how to manage it. Fatigue in older adults is a common theme for those later in the aging process too common. In old age Vata predominates which create Shoshana and Kshaya i.e. decay of different dhatus or tissues leading to gradual decline of dhatus, indriyas and Ojas. Due to Dhatu Kshaya further aggravates Vata dosha and create hardness in arterial wall and path of blood circulation becomes narrow. And due to this, the blood that should reach everywhere in sufficient quantity does not reach. In geriatric age Due to Dhatu kshaya its also create Oza kshaya. Means Immunity decreases some minor cause can be create infection mainly cough, cold, breathlessness and fever. We can corelate the chronic fatigue syndrome with Immunodeficiency, neurological, hormonal and psychological disorders in Geriatric age. Chronic fatigue syndrome can be treated by Deepana (Appetizer), Pachana(digestive), srotoshodhak(relieve obstruction from channels), Rasayana( Immuno buster), Abhyang(massage) and swedana(fomentation) .
