A Clinical Case Management of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Through Ayurveda - Dr. Charmi Mehta
Chronic fatigue syndrome is characterized by post-exertional fatigue associated with numerous neurological, cardiovascular, respiratory, and gastrointestinal complaints. The Oxford criterion was developed in 1991 and defined a case of chronic fatigue syndrome where mild to severe symptoms of fatigue, myalgias, and tiredness were present. In Ayurved different symptoms like Klama, Shrama , glani, Daurbalya etc are mentioned which can be included under the symptoms of Chronic Fatigue syndrome. Also, Pandu roga, Jeerna jwara, Rasakshaya, Mamsagatavata etc conditions have similar presentations. In the current study, a case of Chronic Fatigue syndrome was managemed by Panchkarma prtocols and Shamana, Rasayayana chikitsa which showed encouraging results.
