About the Conference
In Ayurveda, the thyroid gland's function is closely related to the body's metabolic fire (Agni). Imbalances in the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) lead to the accumulation of toxins, which then disrupt thyroid function.
Hypothyroidism is primarily seen as a Kapha and Vata imbalance, characterized by sluggishness, weight gain, fatigue, and slow metabolism (low Agni).
Hyperthyroidism is linked to a Pitta and Vata imbalance, resulting in symptoms like anxiety, rapid weight loss, heat intolerance, and an overactive metabolism.
