Mothers  and children are the most vulnerable members of the population. Adverse socioeconomic conditions cause greater suffering to this group than to the other members of the community. Children are vulnerable primarily because they depend on nurturing adults,  particularly  their mothers,  to  survive; mothers are vulnerable because of the risk of illness and death associated pregnancy and childbirth. These factors are further compounded by some sociocultural realities of motherhood and child rearing which have negative  effects,  such as scarce food, poor access to health facilities, etc. Access to quality mother and child healthcare remains a problem for most families in developing countries like India. Health facilities are located far from where they live, service is inadequate, or the cost of care is not affordable, causing poor health status for mothers  and children. Although the last few years have seen a remarkable decline in morbidity and mortality due to poor pregnancy and perinatal care in mother and morbidity due to various infections and malnutrition in children, the statistical data draw attention to the proper and effective management of the MCH. This goal of comprehensive and integrated mother and child health care (MCH) cannot be achieved without the association and active manpower & wisdom of alternative medicine. Ayurveda, the age old and time-tested system of ancient India,  has great potential to deal with such health problems. We have abundant references and literature regarding mother and child healthcare in our ancestral doctrine,  which may be a gold standard for mother and child healthcare. Rajasthan has the largest network of AYUSH practitioners and infrastructure serving maternal and child healthcare in the state. That is why the idea to organize an international conference to provide an interactive platform for the stakeholders to acquire extensive exposure on manifold issues in MCH and share meaningful experiences  in this concern was generated.

About Jodhpur:
  • Historical City: Jodhpur is  the  second  largest  city  of  Rajasthan state. It was founded by Rao Jodha in 1459 and represents the legacy of fighters of Marwar region. It is known as Blue City due to its blue colored landscape, and is also known as Sun City for the bright sunny weather it enjoys all over year.

The Sun City is well connected with rails  route for all four metro cities of India.

Climate: Generally,  the  climate of Jodhpur is hot and dry,  but  it varies  by each season.  Winter enters the city from November to January.
